Join us for an evening in a cosy pub with two physicists and a comedian. What could possibly go wrong?

Relax with a tipple of your choice at a candle-lit pub in Kings Cross with particle physicists Dr Ben Still and Dr Linda Cremonesi who will introduce the antics of the mind-bogglingly small particle, the neutrino. The behaviour of neutrinos may eventually explain some of the great unsolved mysteries in physics, so physicists love sharing stories about them.

Linda was recently in the Antarctic working on an experiment called ANITA, hunting for cosmic neutrinos using balloons, and Ben spent time over in Japan on the T2K experiment, which is catching neutrinos in the act of changing “flavour” mid-flight. Brilliant. So, we’ll hear about their adventures.

To keep things light, the fabulously lovely comedian Rik Moore will be our compere for the evening.

Who is Physics in the Pub for?

It’s designed to be a good evening out. The talks are for people with no physics background as well as those who know a little about the subject. Bring yourself, or come with friends and partners. 18+ only
